Obituary of Norman John Tollar

Tollar, Jack Jack died peacefully, at his home with those he loved surrounding him on Friday, June 5th, 2015 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Marna Tollar (nee Stewart) for over 58 years. Devoted and cherished father of Jacklyn (Bob) Hunks. Jack was the dearly loved "Poppa" of his grandchildren Noah, Caleb, Jonah, Hannah, Elijah, Levi, and Isaiah Hunks, who were the 7 wonders of his world. He is survived by his sister Teresa (the late Charles) Szocs. Predeceased by his parents George and Mary Tollar, his sister Mary (the late Albert) Hill, and his brothers George (Isabel) Tollar, and Carman (Geraldine) Tollar, and his sister-in-law Mary Lahosky. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law Olive and Graham Pluck, Lorna and Ross Goyit, Donna and Brian Dobrowolski, and Russ and Linda Stewart, and by his former brother-in-law Wallace "Ace" Lahosky. Jack will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. A Private Family Graveside Interment Service will be held. Donations to Lupus Ontario, 2900 John Street, Suite 301, Markham, ON L3R 5G3, or the McMaster Children's Hospital, 1200 Main St W, Hamilton, ON L8N 3Z5 would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jack in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
