Austin, Harry
Passed away peacefully in Palliative Care, at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Bettie Austin (nee Farmer) for 48 years. He is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Martha Austin, his brothers Arthur and Frank, and his sister Gladys (Jim). He will be fondly remembered by his special niece Debbie Ambeau and her husband Dan, and his nephews James, Frank, the late Roy, Terry, Tom, Rodney, Greig, and Stuart, and niece Betty, and his great nieces and nephews and their families. Harry was in the British Army, serving overseas for over 6 years throughout the Second World War. He was a long time faithful member of St. Judes Anglican Church for many years until his illness. He was in the choir, and on the board of management, helping wherever he was needed. He worked for many years and retired from Pride of Paris, in Paris, Ontario. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences, and service details will be available at www.beckettglaves.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Harry in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
