Obituary of Grace Williams

WILLIAMS, Grace Marion (nee Johnson) (nee Russell) - Passed away peacefully, with her children at her side, on Saturday, September 24, 2011, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her loving husbands, the late Frank Russell (1966) and the late William Williams (l998). She was the best Mom of the late Joyce Walker (2011) and her husband Bill, Sharon Maich and her husband Bob and Victor Russell and his wife Ellen. Much loved by her grandchildren Scott Walker (Kathy), Cindy Cleaves (the late Harold), Anne Walker, Rob Maich (Fiona), Susanne Maich, Frank Russell (partner Diane Resendes) and Michael Russell (Robin). She was also blessed with ten great grandchildren Kailey, April, Emily, Robbie, Samantha, Katie, Ayden, Roan, Liam and Larissa. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Martha Jane Victoria and Charles Johnson, her siblings Leta Summerhayes, Treca Miles, Gladys Drummond, Wes Johnson and an infant brother. Mom's family would like to thank the staff at Charlotte Villa where she resided for over ten years, for their help and care and also Leisureworld where Mom had been a resident since June (especially Ruth and Tanya). Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Monday, September 26th, from 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 27th, at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heritage United Church or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be gratefully appreciated. "Mom, we will miss your happy smile, feisty spirit, wise words and fabulous apple pie." A tree will be planted in memory of Grace in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
