ANGUS, Morton R. - passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2011 in Englewood, Florida, USA, in his 86th year. He was born July 20th, 1925. Morton was a pilot in the Canadian-British Air Force during WW II. He retired from Massey Ferguson Manufacturing after 41.5 years. During his employment there, he was a plant manager in Brantford, Des Moines, Iowa and Detroit, Michigan. Morton moved to Englewood in 1987. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Canada, the Shriner's of Englewood and the Elks of Englewood. Morton will be dearly missed by his wife of 25 years, Leona Angus; his step-daughter, Karen Garza: step-grandson, Tony Garza both of Detroit, MI.; brothers, Douglas (Betty) Angus of London, Ontario, Gavin Angus of Paris, Ontario, Malcolm (Jean) Angus of Florida and his sister Barbara Patterson of Brantford, Ontario. He is predeceased by his daughter Sharon. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Friday, July 22nd, from 10-11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. A Tree will be planted in memory of Morton in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
