Condolences
Rob, Susan and families ... I read about your dad's passing in the Expositor and wanted to pass along my condolences to you. I remember when your mom and dad moved into the house on Eastbourne Ave and the fun times that my brother and I shared at your home. Your dad always struck me as the quiet one and your mom, well ... she was Dolly! If I close my eyes for a moment I can see your dad working on his car in the driveway ... I recall that he often wore overalls and was so impressed that he seemed to be able to fix all things mechanical. I see the row of snap dragons and mixed annuals along the drive and actually recall "Lady" and "Missy" lazing around the yard. I see the cedar stripped boat that he would take down to the Grand near Caledonia and the trailer at the park near Port Dover. Most of all, I recall how kind he was to include me in some of the activities shared by your family and wanted you both to know how he and your mom had a positive impact on me as a young boy. We all remember our loved ones differently and we see them through the lenses that we wore at various times over our life ... I for one will have the great memories from a childhood that included your dad, your mom and both of you ... Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your extended families as you fondly remember your dad ... In sympathy ... Rick Casey ...
