Condolences
Dear Douglas family
Firstly may we offer our condolences for your loss.
My uncle James Douglas has been working on our family tree and we believe that we may be related. He would be a cousin of the late John Wilson "Jack" Douglas. My grandfather James Gordon Douglas would be an older brother to John Wilson Douglas. He did try to find his brother but in days prior to the internet it proved unsuccessful.
At the moment my Uncle has been able to trace the family back to 1831.
It would be wonderful if we could make contact and try to fill in another part of the family tree and pass on what we have already found.
It would be great to forge links with our extended family.
Best regards
Lorraine Elder
My deepest sympathies go out to Leone, Elaine and Jeff at this time of loss. It is very hard to lose someone that you have known all your life. I have quite a few memories that involved Jack and my dad and the path between the trailer in Port Dover to our cottage in Turkey Point. It usually started with we are just going to stop at Jack's for a few minutes. Jack always had a smile on his face and if he didn't it took very little make him smile or laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family today.
We are so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was a good neighbour who always took care of his lawn and garden. Jack always had a smile and a good story to tell. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We won't be able to make it to the funeral as we are on our way home from Florida. David and Linda Reeder
We send our love and deepest sympathy and know there will be days of sorrow ahead. We have so many happy memories of Jack which will never be forgotten. What we remember best about Jack was his hard work, joy of life's simpler pleasures, pride and love of family and his enjoyment of friends. We are richer for the experience of having known him. God speed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Leone and her entire family. We have so many fond memories of Jack and he was truly apart of our "trailer family". He was so kind and gentle and always had a good joke to share and a great chuckle to go along with the joke. He will truly be missed by so many but he will always be with us in memory and in our hearts. Love to all. xoxo
