WHITTAM, Melba Jean - Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold Whittam. Loving mother of Christopher "Chip" and his wife Jacqueline, Mark and his wife Candice. Caring grandmother of Jamie, Cory, the late Chase (1992), Dylan, Kennedy and Spencer. Melba is also survived by several brothers and sisters. At Melba's request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment of Melba's ashes will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Melba in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
