STRATFORD, Donald Melvin "Don" - Suddenly, at his residence on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the age of 81 years. Loving husband of Clara Margaret Stratford (nee Dale) for 61 years. Cherished father of Laurence (Mary Ellen), Dale O'Brien (Wayne), William (Rita), Brian (June Henry), Heather Rutter (Mike), and John, deceased 1981. Much loved by grandchildren Joseph (Brandi), Kirk Clawsen (Nicole), Tracy Benninger (Randy), Scott O'Brien (Lenore), Keith O'Brien (Amanda), Steve O'Brien (Alisha), Carrie Collver (Aaron), Tyler (Lauren Cummings), Josi, Emma, Levi, Lee Coyne (Denise Forrester), Danny Coyne, Nick Rutter, Johnny Rutter (Hannah Richards), Joshua Rutter (Kristen Dawson), and seventeen great grandchildren. Dear brother of Burnley (Maybell) and Mabel Nagle. Dear brother-in-law of Herb Hamilton (Ruth), Leona Stratford, Marion Stratford and David Dale (Margaret). Beloved Uncle Don to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Clarence and Ora, brother-in-law Jim Nagle, sister Norma, brothers Gordon and Laurence. Friends will be received at Beckett Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave, Brantford, Ontario on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation - Interment Delhi Cemetery. Donations to Oakland United Church or charity of choice are greatly appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Don in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
