Battaglini, Maria (nee:Venditti) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Roberto Venditti (1994). Loving mother of Pina and her husband Vince Oddi, Tony Venditti and his wife Nancy, Assunta and her husband Antonio Pulciani (in Italy). Caring grandmother of Sebastian, Anthony, Mary, Antonella, Patricia and several great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Catalto (in Italy). Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A prayer service will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 8:45 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. At Mrs. Battaglini's request, she will be returned to Italy where the service and interment will take place. A tree will be planted in memory of Mrs. Battaglini in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
