Obituary of Doris Coates

COATES, Doris Winnifred (nee Paige) - Unexpectedly, at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Coates (1982). Loving mother of Kendrick and his friend Lin, and the late Mary (2007) and her husband Bob Betlejemski. Devoted "Gramma" to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Catherine (Alex) Stewart, and predeceased by her parents Edward and Dolly Paige, one sister Patricia (Reg) Coates, and one brother Ockland (Muriel) Paige. She will also be fondly remembered by her in-laws, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Scotland Cemetery. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Doris in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
