What a pleasure it's been to have been a friend of Paul's. He helped me tremendously over the years. Paul spent many a night talking to me in my time of need. Never once turned his back on me. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Paul. He indeed was an inspiration to those of us in the program. He always had a big smile and cheery Hello for everyone. He will be missed by many especially in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Marty. I have a good idea how much you loved your brother and how much you will miss him. He told me many times how he adored you. Paul and I had been good friends for nearly 50 years. He, Neville and I had some good times over a glass of bubbly at the old Belmont and other well known fine establishments. I recall you joining our table a few times too. I loved being in the company of a Carefoot. We had many good times. Paul was good to his friends and you could count on him always. He was very protective but should you chose to go out of your way and cause a problem you had better keep your head up. He will be sadly missed. Even though it's been well over forty years since we last saw each other I still remember meeting some of your brothers and sisters, although I do not specifically remember Paul I do know that losing a brother is a very sad event in ones life.
