THOMPSON, Elizabeth Ellen - Surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 9th, 2010 in her 100th year. Loving wife of the late Bert Thompson (1976). Ellen will be missed by her children Betty (Paul) Morris, and John (Theresa Verkade) Thompson. Devoted grandmother of Matthew and Bradley (Jennifer) Duce, Robyn (James) Young, Christopher (Chrissy) Thompson, and Alisa Thompson. Proud great-grandmother of Nathan, Reese, Sawyer, Shaye, Noah and Grace. Predeceased by her sister Mary Clarke. A special 'Thank You' to the staff at Leisureworld for all of their care and compassion. Ellen was a woman who lived her life to its fullest and made many friends along the way. She enjoyed playing bridge, travelling and had a love for music. Friends will be received at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Monday December 13th, from 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment Ayr Cemetery. Donations to St. Andrew's United Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ellen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
