Sir Bruce McLean CD2 - Died peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Sunday, November 14th 2010 after a brief battle with cancer. Sir Bruce McLean is survived by his chosen son Jason and family, his Mother Barbara (Father Edward deceased 2008), his Brother Douglas and his Brother Allan. Upon his graduation in Engineering from UBC Bruce embarked on his military career. September 1973 joined the 48th Highlanders of Canada transferring to 2nd Field Engineer Regiment in July 1979 where he completed his Regimental Service as the Regimental Sergeant Major. Bruce transferred to the Cadet Instructors Cadre and rose to the rank of Major as CO of 1888 Royal Canadian (Army) Cadet Corps. Bruce was knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his contribution and dedication to humanity. His profound generosity of heart and spirit, vision and wisdom remained with him at the helm of the Foundations he founded and served until his death. Many were international projects to bring hope, dignity and prosperity where none existed.
