TANNER, Helen Loy (nee Stockton) - Passed away peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Sunday, November 14th, 2010 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Colin (1990). Loving mother of Elaine Culling (Larry), of Stratford, Edward (Denice), of Port Sydney, Allan (Agnes), of Brantford, Sharon (Alan) Reeve, of Norwich. Devoted grandmother of Kimberley (Todd) Melville, Anissa (Rob) Coulthard, Cynthia and Sylvia Reeve, Adam and Daniel Tanner, Tammy (Jeff) Chan, Disa (Donnie) Street, Marcel (Kelly) Klema, and Silvia (Justin) Whitton, and her great-grandchildren Jelene and Corbin, Ryan, James and Tia, Sydney, Jesse, Kylie and Matthew, and Liam and Aven. Predeceased by her son David (1999), her brother Earl, sister Beatrice, and her brothers and sisters-in-law Howard and Violet Tanner, Ruby and Sam Latimer, and Alice and Wilmer Bonney. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was born November 7th, 1912 in South Dumfries Twp., to Jim and Jennie (Pruss) Stockton, and married Colin Tanner in 1944 in Drumbo. Most of their married life was spent on the Tanner farm on what is now known as the Tanner Road, North of St. George. A few years after Colin retired they moved to Brantford. In 2002 Helen moved to Park Lane Terrace in Paris. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. George Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
