BURTIS, Peggy Olive (nee Mallett) - After a brief stay at Columbia Forest LTC, Waterloo, Peggy went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, September 12th, 2010. Born in Colchester, England on February 18th, 1921, Peggy was a long time resident of Brantford, Ontario. Survived by her loving daughter Wendy Stoneman, beloved grandson Devon Stoneman and his fiancee Heather Field, her "Sweetie Pie" and great-grandson Gryphon. Dearly missed by her siblings Ruth Bacon and Joseph Mallett. Peggy is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Norman Burtis (2000), her parents Felix and Esther Mallett, sisters Grace, Jessie and Greta and her brothers Arthur and James, as well as her son-in-law Rickard Stoneman. At Peggy's request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, Ontario, on Friday, September 17th, from 2-3 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Peggy in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
