Condolences
While I was saddened to hear of your passing, I also know that you are now at peace. I always appreciated your sense of humor and the way that you invited the ones who love your family into your heart. It was great to watch your service via webcast today Grace, but I was a bit mortified to discover that I wore my cap during your service. It seems fitting though since you always teased me about wearing it in your house. Thank you so much for a great mother-in-law and my beautiful wife, Carrie. It will be great to see you again some day.
We will miss grandma's sense of humor and loving kindness. We are so thankful to have the memories from our visit to see grandma in 2007 when we celebrated her 95th birthday. Thank you for allowing us to attend the service via webcast.
I am saddened to hear about Grace’s passing. I have fond memories of her sense of humor and her generosity and I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to meet her. My thoughts are with you – please accept my condolences.
I will miss your sense of humor, your gentle admonishments, the way you would roll your eyes and shake your head in exasperation at my teasing... but most of all your love, which you were so generous with, and which I never, ever doubted. All my love and my thoughts are with you.
When I read of Grace's death this morning, it was with sadness but also with many happy memories of a lovely lady. She lived her name, full of grace and always gracious. As a young golfer at Hamilton Golf, I looked forward to my games with her. She was full of interesting stories of her family and the trips that she and Dyce took to visit them. I loved hearing about Africa. I have enjoyed short visits with her when I have been at Highgate and when she dined at the club We now live around the corner from your Auchmar house. I shall always remember her. My best regards to all of you.
