Obituary of Rebekah Verschoor

VERSCHOOR, Rebekah "Bekah" - Passed away in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 in her 19th year. Beloved daughter of Ruth (Bob) Horne, and Leo Verschoor. Loved sister of Rachel and Patricia Verschoor. She will be sadly missed by her grandmothers Margaret Horne and Betty Verschoor, her many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Canada and Holland, and many friends. Predeceased by her grandparents Henry and Alice Niemeyer, and Gerrit Verschoor and her special Aunt Marg. Rebekah was an Honour Student and an Ontario Scholar at Assumption College in Brantford, involved in the Book Club, the Prom Committee 2010 and the Graduation Committee, volunteered at the Brantford General Hospital, and worked at Sears Optical at the Lynden Park Mall. She was an avid nature lover who was always riding her bike, hiking or just enjoying the outdoors. A Memorial Service will be held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave, on Monday, June 14th, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the S.P.C.A of Brant would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Rebekah in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
