Obituary of Catherine Rutter

CATHERINE (KATIE) RUTTER (nee CARR) - A Celebration of Life and Motherhood will be held in loving memory of Catherine Rutter ( Carr) who passed away peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice May 18, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Everett M. Rutter. Dearly loved mother of seven children, Margaret (Bob), Arthur (Shirley), Delores (Jim), Louise (Len), Ronald (Judy), Donald (Wendy), and Bernard (Marilyn). Predeceased by her children, Margaret and Ronald, and son-in-law Bob. She will also be missed by her loving grandchildren, Charlene, Todd, Mark, Gloria, Cathy, Debra, Lenore, Lance, Scott, Robin, Rhonda, Shannon, Carrie, Derek, Bernie & Leanne and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Friday, May 21st, 2010 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Private Family service will be held. Our deepest gratitude goes to the staff and volunteers of the Stedman Community Hospice, in particular Eunie Blum and Pam Butler. Special thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Jeff Manning, for all his kindness and care and Reverend Joel Sherbino. In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. When we took our first step, your arms were extended. When you held our hand in yours, you held firm. When you said that we were your pride and joy, you glowed. When you clothed us in your creations, we were your gems; and when you told us we were capable, we believed you. Thank you for being our loving Mother. A tree will be planted in memory of Katie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
