Condolences
Ed was truly a kind soul who touched many lives. He will be fondly missed by all those who knew and loved him. My heartfelt sympathy to all of his family members.
Uncle Eddie I will miss you so much...you were the best. I still cannot believe you are gone. I have so many great memories that I will cherish forever. I love you Debbie
Ed was my first supervisor (1957)in the "World of Work". He is the one who instilled in me the concept that work should be fun as well as being effective and efficient. I've so many fond memories of Ed but the one that I'll never forget......is his ability to sing opera in a high falsetto....following the roles of his favourite opera diva, Maria Callas. We never lost touch over the years and I'm going to miss his e-mails.
My thoughts and prayers are with all who are mourning the loss of a family member and a very good friend.
As the person who hired me at SC Johnson some 34 years ago; Ed Ramer was a man of humility who treated his staff as family. He was a caring individual who always took time to listen and share his wealth of experience. It was a privilege to have known and worked with Ed and I will miss him. May his caring and loving spirit be with all of us who knew him. Rest in peace good friend.
My husband and I have known Ed for about seventy years and have kept in touch throughout these years. Activities together go from playing catch in the middle of Albion St. in the forties to table tennis played at our place in Burlington into the nineties. He will never be forgotten by any of our family for his friendship and caring. Our condolences to all nieces and nephews for whom he cared so much. Bonnie and the late Glen Dickie
I have known Ed for over 40 years. It was always a pleasure to sit and talk about life, fishing, work, stocks. What a terrific person, compassionate and had time for everyone. I'm sad, but happy he didn't have to live the rest of his life in a manner he would wish on nobody. One can only hope there is another place for people like Ed, he certainly deserves it.
I had known Eddie during the time that we had spent preparing meals at St Andrews Church for Soup for the Soul. He was one of the nicest people to talk to and many times we had great conversations on a variety of topics. Rest in Peace.
