McGROARTY, J.D. "Doug" - Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 9th, 2010 in his 64th year. Loving father of Vanessa (Josh), and Trevor. Devoted Grandad of Megan, Maddison and Mureea. He is survived by his brother Ian. Predeceased by his parents John (1978), and Christina (1995) McGroarty. Doug was a great father who loved his music. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Wednesday from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association. A tree will be planted in memory of Doug in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
