Obituary of Evelyn Borthwick

BORTHWICK, Evelyn (nee: Chugg) - Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre on Monday. April 19th, 2010 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late John Borthwick (1987). Loving mother of David and his wife Janice, Valerie and her husband Dwayne Devlin. Caring grandmother of Kevin, Jennifer, Heather, Drew and Dean; and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Mavis and her husband Ron. Predeceased by her brother Basil. Evelyn was a longtime member of I.O.D.E., the Probus Club and worked at Browns of Brantford for many years. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to Operation Lift or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Evelyn in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
