Obituary of Sarah Burtch

BURTCH, Sarah J. "Sadie" (nee Todd) - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Donovan Burtch (1970). Loving mother of Donna Fokes-Crofton and her husband Eric. She is survived by her sisters Nellie Greig, Maude Campbell, Vivian Avey and her brother Fred Todd. Predeceased by her parents John and Isabel Todd, her sisters Anne Butcher and Agnes Burmaster, and her brothers Donald, Kenneth, William, Harold and John. She will be fondly remembered by her "special daughter" Ellen Broughton, her sister-in-law Margaret Burtch, niece Donna Brock, nephew Gordon Greig, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Judes Anglican Church, 81 Peel St. on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Brantford General Hospital would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sadie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
