Condolences
Dear Kathy, Cam, and Pat, Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your father and our Uncle Ken. Just recently we had been looking at the old family home movies on DVD and had reminisced about the Rooke family get togethers when we would visit Quebec in the summer. I still have a picture of when I was your parents' flower girl and can still smell the lovely basket of flowers I carried that day. I know that you will miss your Dad. Hopefully your memories of the good times you all had together will help ease the pain of your loss. With our deepest sympathy, Janyce & Michael
Patty, Cam and Kathy Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
To the Rooke Family I did not know Ken before he moved to Versa Care, but seeing him on my twice weekly visits there (where I volunteer) I found he was a person who you could call a "friend". He was a very kind person and always had a smile and a cheery welcome for all he met. It was always "how are you today?" One thing I remember about him is when I would stop in to his room to see him and the TV was on, he would always turn it off while you were there, and I felt he was happy to see you. He loved playing Scrabble on Tuesday afternoons, and maybe they also played other times when I was not there. It was too bad about his fall when he broke his hip and had to be hospitalized. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family at this sad time, but know that there are a lot of people thinking of all of you. Sincerely Betty Hurley
