Byers, Myrtle Z. (nee Bowerman) Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice, after a long battle, on Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 with her family by her side.Cherished wife of Jack for 57 years. Loving mother of Susan Allison (Rick), and Robin Brennan (the late Darrell). Loved Nana to Tyler and Sydney. Dear sister of Hazel Davis. Predeceased by her parents David and Beatrice Bowerman, of Windham Centre, twin sister Muriel, sisters Orpha and Velma, and her brothers Elmer and Harold. Myrt was a long time employee of Canadian Tire, and Eaton's. She loved nature, birds, reading, Hawaii and Elvis. Our deepest thanks and most heartfelt appreciation go out to Dr. Vincent and the nursing angels and volunteers at the Stedman Community Hospice who filled Myrt's last months with much laughter, singing, compassion and dignity. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., Reverend Sheila Burns officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Myrt in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
