Obituary of Charles Duboy

DUBOY, Charles Henry - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Stedman Community Hospice on Sunday, November 8, 2009 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of June for over 66 years. Loving father of the late Larry, the late Brian (Tracy), Allan (the late Jean), Wendy, Jim (Lisa), and Cheri (Ken) Taylor. Dear grandfather of Michael, Graham, Tammy, Rebecca, Kim, Naomi, Jacob, Samantha, Christopher and four great-grandsons. Predeceased by three brothers and three sisters of which he was the youngest. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Charlie served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and upon retirement pursued another career as a teacher until he retired in 1983. He was a life long member of the Royal Canadian Legion, a member of the Brant Artillery "Gunners" Club and Harmony United Church. He loved golf, curling, darts and socializing. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., 519-752 4331. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or a charity of choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Charlie in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
