LEWIS, Timothy Crompton - The immediate family of Timothy Crompton Lewis wish to inform his extended family and friends of his death in the critical care unit at the Brantford General Hospital at 7:30 pm on Tuesday September 28, 2010, after a prolonged illness with cirrhosis of the liver and complications from Lupus and Hodgkins Lymphoma. Timothy is survived by his mother Georgie Baird Lewis and three sisters Jennifer Lewis Gallagher (Thomas) of Williamsville New York, Gillian Lewis McDonald (John Benedict) of Waterloo ON, and Robin Baird Lewis of Guelph, ON. He was predeceased by his elder brother Dr. Christopher Baird Lewis of Edmonton AB, and his father Reginald E. Lewis of Brantford ON. Tim was a vital part of his closely knit family. He was a unique illustrator,cartoonist, a gifted photographer and animator; he loved his music, the outdoors and his vast array of friends. Tim always maintained an incurable curiosity for life however reckless his style. He was loved very very much and he will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Jones and the compassionate ICU staff of the BGH. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Saturday, October 16th from 2 - 3 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 16th at 3:00 p.m., followed by an opportunity to enjoy a display of Timothy's work at the reception. Donations to the Critical Care wing of the Brantford General Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Tim in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
