BESSANT, Robert M. "Bob" - Promoted to Glory, on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Bernice for over 22 years. Loving father of Julie (Yurij), and David (Helena); step-father of Debbie (Glen), Brenda (Shawn), Sidney (Janet), Darlene (Guy), and Wayne (Lynn-Ann). Devoted grandfather of Nathan, Alyssa, Ryan, Amanda (Chris), Jennifer, Laura, Dean, Shayna, Clifford (Annie), Tammy, Brock, Kate, Alexander, Norman, Lane and Talis, and his great-grandchildren Dylan, Brooke and Allie. He is survived by his sister Beulah Pacey and brother Gord Hickory. Predeceased by his parents Robinson and Margaret, and his brother Bill. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was a life-time member of the Salvation Army. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the S.A. Wyndfield Community Church, 33 Diana Ave., Brantford on Sunday at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Donations to the Salvation Army or the St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bob in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest
