ODOBAS, Floyd Vernon - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Floyd on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009, in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Edna Odobas for over 59 years. Dear brother of Glen Odobas. Floyd is predeceased by his brother Keith and sisters Valda, Wilma and Lavaun. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Floyd served in the R.C.A.F. from 1941-1946. He worked as a machine repairman for Slingby's, and retired from Koehing-Watrous after 29 years. A Private Family Service has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, (519) 752-4331. Donations in lieu of flowers to Aberdeen Health and Community Services or to the Stedman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Floyd in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
