MARTIN, James A. "Jim" - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Thursday, May 28th, 2009 in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Jackie. Loving father of David and his wife Tracy. Devoted grandfather of Brady, Brittany, Brendan and Nicholas Martin, and his great-granddaughter Charissa. He is survived by his sisters Edna Tattrie, Joan Smith, and Lily (Mike) Lumsdon and their families. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Marion Martin, and his brother Ken. He will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Betty Simmons and his brothers and sisters-in-law Lois (George) Godbolt, Joan (Bob) Middleton, Dale (Stephen) Bland and their families, and many friends. Jim worked as a Health Care Aid at the John Noble Home for over 30 years. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Tuesday from 2 - 3 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the John Noble Home would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
