Obituary of James Wait

WAIT, James "Jim" - Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25th,2009, at Leisureworld, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Wait (nee Shaw) (2000). Loving father of Marilyn (John) Herriman and the late Wesley (Don Cameron) Wait (2007). Dear grandfather of Jessica, Matthew, Erin and Megan. Much loved brother of John "Jack' Wait, the late Priscilla Krieger and the late Joan Mitchell. He will also be dearly missed by many other family and friends. Jim was a very active member of his community, he was a life long member of the St. George United Church, a member of the St. George Masonic Lodge and a member of the Rockton Agricultural Society. Jim also owned and operated Echolands his entire life. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday, May 28th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
