Obituary of Sylvia Minshall

MINSHALL, Sylvia - On Thursday, April 16, 2009 a great lady passed away. Her family and friends will always cherish her legacy of love. Sylvia will be remembered for living her life with strength, determination and dignity. Treasured Mother of Roman VonLukawiecki and his wife Sabina, and Cami Knox and her husband Dave. Devoted Nana to Jason (Erika), Shane (Lauren), Justin, Cara, Kyle, Mitch, Cody , Jordan , David and Mike. Great-Nana to Andrew, Isabelle, Ayden, Aaryn and Emily. Beloved daughter of Charlotte and the late Hans Bryn. Sister of Ingrid and her husband Gus, Trudy and her husband Andy, Jim, and the late Heike. Sylvia was a long time employee of Vickerman Foods and Brant Food Centre. She will be fondly remembered by many customers who enjoyed her cheerful manner. A special thank you from our family to the wonderful Nurses in B.G.H. - Palliative Care and to Dr. Ho and his staff for their compassionate care and support. Friends are invited to celebrate Sylvia's life at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 12-1 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery. Donations to the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. "Forever in our hearts." A tree will be planted in memory of Sylvia in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
