Obituary of Joan Williams

WILLIAMS, Joan Evelyn - Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital after a lengthy illness on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in her 77th year. Beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Jean Williams. Loving sister of Ken. Caring Aunt of Darrin and his wife Brooks. Joan was a retired employee of the Brantford General Hospital and a tireless volunteer who devoted many hours to community service, clubs and church activities. She was cherished by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Barry Pridham officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be welcomed. "Always in our hearts. We will never forget you, your laughter or your love" A tree will be planted in memory of Joan in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
