SMALE, Robert John - Passed away at Versa Care on Thursday, March 5th, 2009 in his 76th year. Beloved brother of Muriel and her husband Bruce Garvey. Precious Uncle of Laura Garvey and her husband Rick Yeates, and Alan Garvey (Maryanne). Robert was a long time member of Harmony United Church (formerly Marlborough United Church). He was Akela of the 17th Marlborough Cub Pack, and worked for Barber Ellis for many years. Robert also worked at Lion's Park. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Satuday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery privately. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
