GILROY, Ilene Draxy (nee Norris) - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Gilbert Gilroy (Sept. 11, 2001). Loving mother of Holly (Rory) Munro, Larry, Ken (Laura), Paul (Joanne), Tom (Terri), and Chris. Devoted grandmother of Matt, Sarah, Carly, Amy, Shelley, Sean, Derek, Melissa, Cameron and Molly. Ilene retired from the St. Joseph's Hospital, Brantford after many years of dedicated service as a Registered Nurse. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ilene in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
