CZARNIK, Stanley, "Stan the Shoe Man" - Born April 15, 1926 in Lopatki, Poland. Passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the Huronia District Hospital in Midland. Devoted husband of Bernice (Papiez) for 60 years. Loving father and father-in-law to Bryon and Janis, Bob and Diane, Sandra and John, David and Kira, and Susan and Steve. Proud grandfather to Kathryn (Brett), Paula (Steve) and Julie; Paul, Candace, Lauren, and Lucas; Katya and Eric; Emily and Larissa. Great-grandfather to Ella. Predeceased by his daughter Susan (2004), his brother-in-law Chester and his parents Joseph and Bernice. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and relatives. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Thursday, February 5th from 1- 4 p.m. and Friday from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Stan in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
