Obituary of Catherine Dunsdon

DUNSDON, Catherine Elizabeth (Kay) (nee Wyatt) - Passed away peacefully, at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, on January 21st, 2009, at 97 years of age. Beloved wife of Leslie for 72 years. Also survived by her daughters Carole (George) Zigmond, of Sarnia, Mary (Al) Middleton, of Airdrie, AB., and Joan (John) Dunham, of Burlington; grandchildren Lynn (Bob) Garbe, of Airdrie, AB., Mark (Linda) Middleton, of Sherwood Park, AB., Joan (Earl) Tjostheim, of Stony Plain, AB., Grant (Nathalie) Ayres, of Hearst, Lesley (Mike) Gibson, of Carrying Place, and step-grandchildren Sandra and Michael Woodworth, of Clementsport, N.S. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Kay and Les lived in Brantford and worked together in their archery business for many years. They enjoyed a long retirement and spent winters happily in Florida until recently. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, Ontario on Monday from 1 - 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 2:00 p.m. Interment of Ashes, Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Kay's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Matt Robinson and the loving, caring staff at Billings Court Manor. A tree will be planted in memory of Kay in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
