WILSON, James-III - The family of James Wilson sadly announce his unexpected passing due to sudden illness on Friday, January 2nd, 2009, at the Brantford General Hospital. He was 81 years old. Beloved husband of Vickie Wilson (nee Nagel) for 24 years. Loving father of Wayne (Stephanie), John Rylance and Penny Wilson. Grandfather of Dylan, Zackary and Danika. Brother of Gloria (Bob) Rosenwald, Jean (Ray) Bauer. Jim spent 60 years as an Iron Worker. He served as a US Air Force Veteran 10 years and received the honour of being listed on the National Roll of Honor at Washington Cathedral. Jim also enjoyed his time as a competitive boxer, and was a long time participant in the Telephone City Music Society. Absent from the body and present with the Lord, Jim will be received by his sons Jimmy and John Wilson, Parents James and Minnie Wilson and his brother Ron Wilson, although happy to be with them he will be greatly missed here. Family and friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Tuesday, January 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
