Obituary of Norman Milton

MILTON, Norman Andrew - Passed away, peacefully at home, on Thursday, November 27th, 2008 in his 85th year. Cherished husband of Nina for 37 years. Loving father of Nancy (Bob) Neil, Linda (Al) Kuva, Donna (Buck) Mills, Cathy (Rick) Skelcher, the late Diane Spiers, Karen (Larry) Harrison, Sheila McCaw, and Mia Tenant (Frank Minna). Devoted grandfather of 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his many other family members, friends and comrades. Norm was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Glengarry Highlanders, a proud 55 + year member of the R.C.L Dunsdon Legion #461, and a retired employee of the Grand Erie District School Board. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Legion Service on Monday at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Padre James Sutton Officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. "Lest We Forget" A tree will be planted in memory of Norm in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
