TORTI, Vera (nee Johnson) - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Saturday, October 25th, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Larry (Sandra) Torti and Cathy "Nursey" Smith. Dear Nan of Julie, Kiley and Dax. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Tuesday, October 28th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Brant S.P.C.A. in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Vera in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
