DER STEPANIAN, Helen "Jean" - Passed away peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice, on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 in her 76th year. Beloved mother of Janice (Tony) Runstedler, Howard (Sue) and Stephen (Doris). Devoted "Gramma Jean" to Matthew, Christopher & Michael, Gord & Melanie, Stephen Jr., Stephanie, Tamara, Dion, Taylor, Shelby & Trinity. She is survived by her two sisters Marie Harvey, of Toronto, and Bernice (Ross) Creighton, of Kincardine. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Nellie Harvey, of Oxford Township. Jean graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing in 1954, and retired from the Brantford General Hospital in 1993. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery, Brantford. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice or the Brantford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jean in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
