Obituary of Dorothy Devereux

DEVEREUX, Dorothy Patricia - Passed away at home with her family by her side after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Devereux (2000). Loving mother of Donna Devereux-Sherratt (Jerry Besterd) and her husband the late Paul Sherratt, Lynda Devereux, Brenda Devereux-Braund and her husband Terry Braund, and Sandra Devereux. Caring grandmother of John (Grace), Greg (Olga), Tracy (Tom), Mark (Mary), Jaime (Dennis), Jakki and Laryn. Great-grandmother of Brianne, Meghann, Rexford, Ryan, Cassandra, Wyatt, Cole, Ryder, Jack and Landon. Survived by her sisters Margaret Banner, Olive and her husband Walter Tokarz and their family, and brother-in-law Keith Butcher and his family. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to the Juranvinski Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Dorothy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
