TALOS, Rudolph William - Passed away serenely with his family present at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 26th at the age of 84 years. He was a devoted and caring husband to his late wife Marion and life partner Francis. He was a loving and supportive father to his children Steven and his wife Diane, and Janice. He is survived by his grandchildren Stuart, Stephanie, Angela (husband Patrick), Stacey (husband Todd) and great-grandchildren Sarah, Spencer, Alex, Camille and Charlotte. "Rudy" served in the RCAF during W.W.ll, and was later employed as a tool and dye maker with Allen Ritchie Company and Screen Print. He was proud of his Hungarian heritage and agrarian roots, and will be remembered fondly for his enthusiasm for gardening and history; the restoration of Wynarden (Yate's Castle); and his gregarious and affectionate nature. The family has appreciated profoundly his life-long friendship with Harry Wilkes and Charlie Hajas, and the committed care demonstrated by the nursing staff at the BGH. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday, August 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, August 29th at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Rudy in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
