HODGE, Anne MacDougall - Passed away on August 16, 2008 at the RiverView Terrace. She was 98 years old. Miss Hodge was predeceased by her parents, the late John and Agnes Hodge, her brother Dr. Ian Gordon Hodge of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, her only sister, Mrs. James D. (Mary) McElroy of Markham, Ontario, and several nieces and nephews. A graduate of the University of Toronto in Modern Languages, she taught school in the W. Ross Macdonald School and in North Park Collegiate where she was the head of the Modern Language department. She was past president of the Women's Canadian Club of Brantford, past president of Community Concert Series of Brantford, a charter member of the University Women's Club of Brantford, and past president of the Ladies section of Brantford Golf and Country Club. A lifelong member of Alexandra Presbyterian Church, Miss Hodge served her church in various organizations of the church. Arrangements entrusted to the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, (519) 752-4331. Friends will be received at the Alexandra Presbyterian Church, 410 Colborne Street, on Thursday, August 21, 2008, from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Flowers gratefully declined; donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Anne in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
