PREECE, Norma Elizabeth (nee McIntyre) - Passed away peacefully at Telfer Place, on Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Allister Bevan Preece (2006) for 65 years. Dear mother of Delaine (Gary) Hopkins and Robert (Sandra). Grandmother of Tanya (Barry) Dunlop, Christine (Phil McLeod) Hopkins, Sheryl (Gordon) Morsink, Heather (Christian Pavey) Hopkins and great-grandmother of Victoria, Megan and Emma Dunlop, Sam, Aidan and Quinn McLeod and Logan and Joshua Morsink. Survived by her brother William McIntyre, and sister-in-law Shirley Preece as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Ellis McIntyre, and her sister Lillian Spencer. Norma was an active member of Wesley United Church and the Eastern Star. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford on Friday, August 8th, 2008 from 12-1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel 1 p.m. Cremation. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to Wesley United Church would be appreciated. Norma's family would like to extend a special thank you to Telfer Place for the loving care and compassion that they provided to her during her stay there. A tree will be planted in memory of Norma in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
