Obituary of Jack Rowen

ROWEN, Jack - After a brief courageous battle at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2008, in his 80th year. Loving partner and best friend of Rae. Father of John Rowen (Barb) and Dianne Knight (Don). Grandfather of Mark and Shawn Rowen, Tammy, Chris and Rob Knight and stepfather of six. He is survived by his siblings Don Rowen (Ella), Doreen Bye (Ken), Jean Rowen, Buzz Rowen (Philomena). Jack is predeceased by his parents Connie and Bert Rowen and was a life time member of the Moose Lodge and an employee of Scarfe Paint Company for over 50 years. He will be sadly missed by his family and Rae's daughters, Jackie Bullied, Laurie Skinner and Kim Dorman, their spouses and many friends. At Jack's request there will be no formal visitation or service, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, 519-752-4331. Donations may be made in memory of Jack to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Jack in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
