LEEDER, Melvin Douglas "Bean" - Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer. Melvin died with his family at his side at the Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday, June 22nd, 2014, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Diana Leeder (nee Stinson) for over 37 years. Much loved father of Andrew (Penny) Leeder, Joshua (Jessie Lloyd) Leeder and the late Melissa-May Leeder. Dear papa of Daniel, Stephanie, Bryanna and Hallow. Dearly missed by mother-in-law Barbara (the late Stanley) Stinson and brothers Calvin (Josie) Leeder, Ron (Sybil) Leeder, Ed (Jill) Leeder and sisters Barb Leeder and Darlene Langman, brother-in-law Ron (Jan) Stinson and sister-in-law Pat Leeder. Predeceased by his brother Allan Leeder and brother-in-law Dean Langman. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Melvin recently retired from Canadian General Tower after 26 years of service. At Melvin's request cremation has already taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, 519-752-4331. Friends will be received at New Covenant Church, 22 Holiday Drive, Brantford ON, on Saturday, July 12th, from 12-1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Rev. John Tweedie officiating. Donations to New Covenant Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Society of Brant. A tree will be planted in memory of Melvin in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
