Obituary of Jerrold Campbell

CAMPBELL, Jerrold [Jerry] [Jiggs] - Passed away peacefully and comfortably, in his 94th year, on June 14th, 2014, at the Brant Residence in Burlington. Left behind to follow are his love companion, Pat; children, Colin and Wendy; and other family. A flight lieutenant for the RCAF in WWII, he returned to Canada and pursued his professional career as a developer of drive-in movie theatres [36] in the 1950's , home builder in south-west Oakville in the 1960's, and industrial broker with a reputation for discretion and integrity. Always active, as a pilot, sailor, skier, horse rider, song composer, inventor. In accordance with his belief in a private personal life, there has been no formal funeral service but rather, following cremation, a quiet interment at the family site in his birthplace, the village of Scotland. Donations in his name to the Alzheimer Association of Canada would be gratefully received. "Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship." A tree in memory of Jerrold will be panted in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
