HARPER, Susan Christine - Passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 in her 59th year. Susan put up a courageous battle with cancer, but passed away surrounded by her loving family. On Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 she was married to her true love, Brian Lefler. Loving mother of Jennifer (Perrott) and Jason Snyder, Jacqueline Perrott, Amber Harper-Young, and Amanda "Panda" (Jonathan Boodhoo) Harper-Young. Adored by her two darling granddaughters Katie "Bug" Snyder, and Sydney "Bean" Snyder. Her spirit was reunited with her father and mother Eric and Edith Harper. Susan will also be missed by her siblings Sharon (the late Henry) Godden, Nancy (the late Rick) Chatterson, James (the late Brenda) Harper and her sister-in-law Debbie Kovac. She will never be forgotten by the rest of her family and friends. Susan was a creative, artistic free spirit who cared and gave love to all. She published several of her poems, loved to dance and enjoyed painting, drawing and listening to music. After raising her four daughters, she returned to school and proudly earned her diploma in Television Broadcasting from Mohawk College. A graveside committal service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday at 3:00 p.m. followed by a private celebration of her life. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Vita, Brantford, or World Vision would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Susan in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
