Obituary of Oliver Clubine

CLUBINE, Oliver Bryan - Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Telfer). Loving father of David and Laura. Devoted grandfather of Connor and Abby. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Myrtle Clubine, his sister June (2009), and brother Donald (2004). He will also be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Betty, his brother-in-law Bill (Carolyn) Telfer, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Oliver was a charter member of the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada, past president of the Grand Valley Car Club. His long time association with sports cars and racing led him to establish, with his son David, Britain West Motorsport which caters to the racing community. His other passions in life were the history of railroads, model railroading, and the Muskokas. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 - 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Cremation. Donations to the Mt. Pleasant United Church, or the Brantford General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Oliver in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
