McClure, Phyllis Thomson - Passed away suddenly but peacefully on March 19, 2014 at the Brantford General Hospital in her 83rd year. Beloved daughter of Fern (nee: Thomson) & James Morton McClure of Brantford. Cherished sister of Mary Jane and sister-in-law of the late Faris Sinclair of Barrie, Ontario. Loving aunt of Susan (Ian), MaryLou (Thomas), Bobbi Lynn/Roberta (Paul). Dear great-aunt of Hunter, Heather, Alicia and Annika. Phyllis will be fondly remembered for her dedication to her many students as a career retired school teacher in Brantford. She was a longtime member of Brant Avenue United Church and St. Andrew's United Church and many know of her dedication to the choir. Phyllis' love of travel and exploring new adventures are an inspiration to us all. Her true compassion for all animals and the beauty of nature are a testament to her loving spirit. Her positive outlook and her endless eagerness to listen to all of our stories and share her own will be dearly missed. Phyllis will be remembered as a supportive neighbour, wonderful friend to all, dedicated teacher, loving aunt and sister. She taught us all to live each day to its fullest and be generous and kind to all we meet on our journey. At Phyllis's request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Saturday, June 7th at 10:30 a.m. Donations to St. Andrew's United Church or the Brant Waterways Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Phyllis in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
